Angelo Dundee was an American boxing trainer and cornerman who was widely regarded as one of the greatest trainers in the history of the sport. He was born on August 30, 1921, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and passed away on February 1, 2012, in Tampa, Florida.
Dundee’s career in boxing spanned several decades, and he worked with numerous notable fighters, most notably Muhammad Ali (formerly known as Cassius Clay). He played a pivotal role in Ali’s career, training him for the majority of his fights and providing guidance and support both inside and outside the ring.
