First edition, first printing. Published by Longmans in London, 1900. This is a very good copy. Issued without a dust wrapper. The beautiful gilt illustrations are present and not blemished, though so slightly toned at the spine. The spine tips and slightly bumped. There is an area of non-sticky residue to the rear panel. There is also what appears to be black pen to the front panel. The gilt text blocks are bright throughout, unblemished and complete. The internals are slightly foxed to the prelims, with what appears to be red toning to the tissue guard. The front fly is slightly worn and appears to carry a previous owners inscription, which is now barely legible. Overall, this is a very good copy of an iconic title.
The sixth instalment in Lang’s fairy tales.
