A set of first editions of the Pictorial Guides to the Lakeland Fells by Alfred Wainwright. The books were published by The Westmoreland Gazette between 1955 to 1966. The first volume (’The Eastern Fells’) is without the dust wrapper as called for, with ‘Book Two – in preparation’. The remainder are in very good condition within their original dust wrappers. Some are internally repaired, but all are in clean condition. A little chipping to the head of volume two. Excessively scarce to find all seven volumes together and in their original dust wrappers – now housed in a custom made slipcase.
