First edition, first printing. Published by Collins Crime Club in London, 1958. This is a near fine copy. The dust wrapper is bright and mostly clean with some slight creasing throughout. The white lettering is so slightly foxed. There is a small surface tear to the rear panel and again some light foxing present. There is slight separation to the top and tail of the spine. It has not been price clipped and shows the original 12s 6d net price. The boards are free from notable chips and marks and the text blocks are mostly clean, with some slight foxing to the top edge. There is some internal foxing to the front paste down and fly leaf. It is free from previous owners inscriptions. Overall, this is a near fine copy of a nice title.
A crucial witness is unaware of his role as such until two years after a man is found guilty of a murder. When he realizes the information he holds, he re-opens the pain of loss in a family, and re-opens the question of who was the murderer two years ago…
