A first edition, first printing of Hickory Dickory Dock by Agatha Christie, published by Collins, London in 1955. A near fine book inscribed in blue ink to the front free end paper, with slight pushing to the head and foot of the spine, browning to top edge of front board and rear panel, small bump to top edge of front panel, the browning text block with spotting to upper and fore-edges, ghosting to front and rear free end papers. In a near fine unclipped wrapper with some wear and chipping to the spine tips, edges and corners, some fading to the spine and browning to the back cover, damp-staining to the rear panel and flap.
Hicokry Dickory Dock by Agatha Christie is notable for featuring Poirot’s efficient secretary, Miss Felicity Lemon, who had previously appeared only in the Poirot short stories.
