Agatha Christie – Hallowe’en Party – First UK Edition 1969
£250.00
First edition, first printing. Published by Collins Crime Club in London, 1969. This is a very good copy. The dust wrapper has not been price clipped, showing the original £1.25 net price, accompanied by the 25s price. There is one slight tear to the top of the front panel and some light wear to the spine tips and corners – also a repair to a chip to the top panel. The boards are free from notable wear and the text blocks are bright throughout. There is slight rubbing to the corners and to the edges. This copy is free from previous owners ink. Overall, this is a very good copy.
The novel features Belgian detective Hercule Poirot and the mystery novelist Ariadne Oliver, who begins the novel in attendance at a Hallowe’en party. A girl at the party claims she witnessed a murder, which, at the time, she was too young to realize was a murder. Soon, the girl herself is found murdered, and Oliver calls in Poirot. This book was dedicated to P. G. Wodehouse.
