Description
First edition first printing published by Wayland Publishers Ltd in 1977. A near fine book signed and inscribed on the front endpaper ‘To R G Gilbert, With best wishes, Mary Whitehouse’. In a very good wrapper with some chipping to the top and bottom and small closed tear to the front panel.
Whitehouse became a household name in the sixties and seventies as a schoolteacher who began an unlikely second career as a self-appointed, and much derided, guardian of British morals.
