A first edition, first printing of Good Omens by Terry Pratchet and Neil Gaiman, published by Gollancz, London in 1990. A near fine book free from internal inscriptions, with some browning and light spotting to text block, bumping to lower corner of preliminary pages with subsequent associated damage therein. In a near fine unclipped wrapper with chipping to head of the spine, bumping to the knuckles of front and rear flap folds, some light pushing to upper and lower edges, light spotting to upper edge of rear panel and similarly to the front and rear flap folds, some internal spotting throughout. Jacket illustration by Chris Moore.
Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman is a humorous fantasy novel about the unlikely partnership between an angel, Aziraphale, and a demon, Crowley, who team up to prevent the apocalypse. As the prophesied End Times approach, the duo tries to locate the misplaced Antichrist and stop the forces of Heaven and Hell from destroying Earth. The novel blends wit, satire and clever commentary on good, evil and human nature in a delightfully entertaining story.
