A first edition, first printing, published by Oxford University Press in 1957. A very good book with slight pushing to the head of the spine, the text blocks bright and crisp, with presentation plate dated 1957 from Harrogate Grammar School on front free end paper. A very good original clipped dust jacket, with a little bumping at the spine tips and chips to the front and rear knuckle folds. Tear to the top edge of front panel and two minor tears to the base of the front and rear panels.
The Silver Branch is an enthralling historical adventure set in Roman Britain. The story follows Justin, a young Roman officer, who finds himself torn between loyalty to Rome and his love for Britain. Tasked with retrieving the lost symbol of his legion’s honour, the silver branch, Justin embarks on a perilous journey filled with bravery, betrayal and self-discovery.
