It has not been price clipped and shows the original 15s/ net price; there is slight rubbing to the top and tail edges. The boards are free from notable chips and marks and the text blocks are bright and crisp. The authors signature is present on the front flyleaf, inscribed in the year of publication ‘To Jennifer, with all good wishes, Michael Bond. December 1966’ in blue ink. Overall, this is a near fine copy of a classic signed title.
Thursday the Mouse fell from a balloon having just escaped from the Home for Waif-Mice and Stray-Mice. The Pecks adopt him into their family of church mice and they name him Thursday because the day he arrived was a Thursday to remember.
