Agatha Christie – One Two Buckle My Shoe – First UK Edition 1940
£385.00
A first edition, first printing of ‘One Two Buckle My Shoe’ by Agatha Christie, published by Collins for The Crime Club in 1940. This is a very good copy free from internal inscriptions, bound in the original publisher’s red cloth with black titling to the spine, some light handing wear to the boards and a rough patch to the bottom of the front panel, minor pushing to corners of front and rear panels, similarly to the spine tips, some darkening to the spine edges, the text block with some browning and spotting throughout.
One, Two, Buckle My Shoe by Agatha Christie is a Hercule Poirot mystery revolving around the murder of Poirot’s dentist, Dr. Morley. Initially seeming like a straightforward case, Poirot uncovers a complex plot involving political intrigue, multiple suspects and hidden identities. The novel showcases Christie’s talent for weaving intricate narratives and delivering surprising twists, as Poirot’s keen intellect and methodical approach reveal the truth behind the baffling crime.
