John Updike – Rabbit Redux – First US Edition – Inscribed by Updike to his children’s nanny
£385.00
First edition, first printing of ‘Rabbit Redux’ by John Updike published by Knopf, London in 1971. A very good copy inscribed on the front free endpaper to Sally Rettig (former nanny to his children) ‘for Sally Redux and all the groovy gang up at Regent’s Park Terrace – warm cheer – John’. A nice association copy. In unclipped dust wrapper with some small nicks, a little spine fade and some yellowing to top of front flap and top reverse of front cover.
Sally Rettig was nanny or au pair to his children and to whom Updike continued to send signed copies of his books for many years.
(We don't keep all of our stock in the shop, so send us an email if you're planning a trip to see a particular author or book.)
