A first edition, first printing published by The Telegraph Newspaper Company in 1944. A very good book SIGNED and INSCRIBED (with best wishes from) the Author on the title page and inscribed by the dust wrapper artist on the front free endpaper. Book has some wear on the corners and edges, the wrapper has some closed tears with some light internal tape repairs within. The author was editor of the Brisbane newspaper, ‘The Telegraph’. He was invited to Britain in 1944 to report on Britain at war, and remained there until after the Normandy invasion. Rare.
