A first edition, first printing published by Cape in 1981. A near fine book without inscriptions – a trace of spotting to the top edges with some light handling marks within to a few pages in a very good wrapper without fade to the spine. Tape repair to the rear flap. Some minor creasing to the laminate, with some small slits to the corners of the wrapper. Not price clipped with the shadow of Dahl’s signature present. SIGNED in brown pen without dedication by Dahl on the front endpaper. Flat-signed first editions are genuinely scarce. The story about a boy who made rather a lot of chickens change shape (and Grandmas……)
