A first edition, first printing of ‘Small Talk’ published by Bodley Head in 1973. A very good book without inscriptions. Sharp corners. In the very good dust wrapper which is clipped. Small repair to the head of the spine, corners a little rubbed. Comes with a hand-written postcard which reads, ‘Many thanks for sending me the Lancet letter – I’m sure you did right in keeping a close eye on things quite now. I had a cheerful postcard from Aden, from Zita Baher, Yours/Naomi Mitchison’. A nice accompaniment.
