A near fine copy free from internal inscriptions, boards bound in original publishers grey cloth with silver titling to the front board and spine, the spine tips, hinges and corners of the boards a little rub-worn, toning to the text block, toning and spotting to prelims.
Gemini is an early collection of poems by John Collier, later celebrated for his macabre, fantastical short stories. The volume belongs to the period when Collier still hoped to establish himself chiefly as a poet, before turning decisively to prose. Privately printed in a limited edition of 185 copies, it is now a scarce and attractive example of his early literary ambitions and of refined interwar small-press publishing.
