A near fine book free from internal inscriptions, boards bound in publisher’s original red cloth with gilt titling to the spine, some browning to the text block. In a very good unclipped wrapper with chipping to spine tips, upper knuckles of front and rear flap folds, slight browning to spine and panels a little rub worn. Some internal repair with some shadowing to the top edge of the front panel.
The publication was an extraordinary event in Soviet history as it was the first time an account of Stalinist repression had been widely distributed.
