A first edition, first printing published by Oxford University Press in 1957. A near fine book without inscriptions in a near fine wrapper with a closed tear to the front panel and a little rubbing to the corners. With the rare wrap-around band stating the book was the winner of the Carnegie Medal.
Probably the most macabre dust wrapper design we’ve seen….
