255 pages, frontispiece, black and white illustrations, blue leather sides with quarter cream leather spine, titled gilt on the spine, top edge gilt, other edges uncut.
Quarter cream calf leather with black gilt lettered label over blue calf. Housed in black cardboard slipcase in very good condition without any damage, showing a few spots of minor colour-loss and speckles of white on the bottom edge, both barely noticeable.
Limited Edition of only 1000 numbered copies, signed by the author and the Illustrator on the limitation page. This being number 67.
The four pages preceding the preface are facsimile reproductions of the first and last two pages of the original manuscript of Cakes and Ale.
Edition published to celebrate Maugham’s 80th birthday with the famous lithograph by Sutherland dated 7-7-53 on the plate.
