Tove Jansson – Moominpappa At Sea – First Edition 1966

£375.00

A first edition, first printing published by Benn in 1966. A very good book without inscriptions with some pushing to the foot of the spine and top corner of the front board. A beautiful example in a very good unclipped wrapper with one neat closed tear to the foot of the spine and another to the foot of the front corner, with a little wear and chipping to the spine tips and other corners.

Moominpappa at Sea is a whimsical tale following the Moomin family’s maritime adventures. Seeking a change of pace, Moominpappa relocates his family to a remote island. As they adjust to island life, each family member undergoes personal growth and introspection. With Tove Jansson’s signature wit and charm, the novel explores themes of identity, belonging, and the search for meaning. Amidst the island’s mysteries and challenges, the Moomins discover the importance of family bonds and inner strength.
