James Dean (February 8, 1931“September 30, 1955), was the leading actor of his generation. he appeared in three movies:East of Eden, Rebel Without A Cause and Giant. Although East of Eden and Giant were adapted from successful novels, Rebel Without a Cause took its title from a sociological tract by psychiatrist Robert M. Lindner’s 1944 book, Rebel Without a Cause:The Hypnoanalysis of a Criminal Psychopath. The film, however, does not make any references to Lindner’s book in any way. Warner Bros. released the film on October 27, 1955.

To the best of our knowledge, this is the first occasion all three US first editions have been collated as a set available on the open market and is rare.
