Ted Hughes – Crow – First Edition 1970
£150.00
First edition, first printing. Published by Faber & Faber in London, 1970. This is a near fine copy. The dust wrapper, designed by Leonard Baskin, is highly presentable though has a few issue points. The first is a faint coffee ring to the front panel, accompanied by some slight wear at the spine tips and general handling marks. However, it has not been price clipped and shows the original £1.00 net price. The boards, in the publisher’s black cloth, are free from notable wear and highly presentable. The internals are free from previous owner’s inscriptions, though the front fly is slightly toned. Overall, this is a near fine copy marred only by the aforementioned stain.
One of Hughes’ seminal works, narrating in the Life and Songs of the Crow, his ole’ anthropomorphic buddy.
