Stirling Moss – A Turn At The Wheel – First UK Edition 1961 – Lewis-Evans Copy
£185.00
A first edition, first printing published by William Kimber in 1961. A very good book without inscriptions. Bookplate of Lewis Lewis-Evans to the front pastedown. Spotting to the page edges. In a very good (or better) unclipped wrapper with a little wear to the corners and to the extremities.
From the library of Lewis Lewis-Evans, whose son Stuart Lewis-Evans was a team mate of Stirling Moss for the Vanwall F1 Team in 1957 and 1958 – winning the Constructor’s World Championship in their second season. The team’s celebrations were overshadowed however by Lewis-Evans fatal crash in the final race of the season in Morocco.
