Six Signatures of Pearl Harbor Survivors on Photo
£145.00
An 8 x 10 original photograph of the Pearl Harbor Attack, Dec. 7, 1941 and six signatures of the survivors. Price includes VAT
The attack on Pearl Harbor occurred on December 7, 1941, when the Japanese military launched a surprise assault on the U.S. naval base in Hawaii. Over 350 Japanese aircraft targeted battleships, airfields, and other installations, sinking or damaging 18 ships, including eight battleships, and destroying nearly 200 aircraft. The attack killed over 2,400 Americans and injured about 1,000 more. This event led to the United States formally entering World War II, as President Franklin D. Roosevelt declared it “a date which will live in infamy.” The attack shifted global power dynamics, with the U.S. joining the Allies against the Axis powers.Â
