A complete set of the Third Series of the Mr Men Books, written and illustrated by Roger Hargreaves, and published by Thurman Publishing in 1976.
The 13 books are comprised of Bounce, Chatter Box, Dizzy, Forgetful, Funny, Fussy, Impossible, Jelly, Lazy, Mean, Muddle, Noisy, & Strong.
This is the first set issued with the ‘Special Mr Offer’ on the reverse of the back page, making it the second release of these, as the first release came without the offer.
Some books have browning to the front and rear covers and others do not. Strong has a name to the front page, as does Chatter Box and Jelly which additionally have some staining to the front and back. Mean also has a stain to the rear page.
Hargreaves wrote and illustrated 4 series of the Mr Books, before his son Adam took over the process following his Father’s passing in 1988.
The Mr Men & Little Miss series has now sold more than 250 million copies worldwide!
