First edition, second impression. Published by Hamish Hamilton in London, 1963. This is a very good copy. The dust wrapper, stating ‘2nd impression’ on the front flap, has not been price clipped. It is very sunned at the spine, with slight chipping present on both edges. There are slight handling marks throughout. There is a previous owner’s inscription on the front fly leaf, dated 1965. The boards have a slight lean and very light bumping at the corners. The text blocks are clean throughout. Overall, this is a very good copy of a second impression title.

This book documented the environmental harm caused by the indiscriminate use of pesticides.
