A first edition, first printing of Mary Poppins Comes Back by P.L. Travers, published by Lovat Dickson in 1935. A very good book without inscriptions. Spotting and browning to the text block and spotting to the prelims, with some browning to the extremities of the clothbound front board, spine and rear panel with some slight pushing to the corners. In a good wrapper with some chipping and tears to the spine tips and corners and some browning to the spine, a tear to the front flap fold, some red staining to the lower corner of the rear panel and hole in the rear flap fold, some internal spotting.

The rare follow up to ‘Mary Poppins’, Mary Poppins Comes Back by P.L. Travers revisits the magical nanny as she returns to the Banks family. Through whimsical adventures, Mary Poppins teaches the children valuable life lessons with her peculiar charm and supernatural abilities. Set in Edwardian London, the sequel captures the essence of childhood wonder and imagination. Travers’ enchanting narrative blends fantasy with moral depth, enchanting readers of all ages with Mary Poppins’ timeless allure and the power of belief.
