The pictorial dust wrapper, illustrated by the author, has one small nick to the top of the spine and is otherwise fine with some light curling. It has not been price clipped. The paper covered pictorial boards are sharp at the corners and clean. The internals are free from previous owner’s ink and the text blocks are immaculate throughout. Overall, this is a fine copy.
It won the Nestlé Smarties Book Prize Gold Award and was the Blue Peter Book of the Year. An animated short film adaptation was made by Studio AKA in 2008. It was directed by Philip Hunt and broadcast on Channel 4.
