Nevil Shute – In The Wet – First Edition 1953
£85.00
First edition, first printing. Published by Heinemann in London, 1953. This is a very good (or better) copy. The dust wrapper, illustrated by Val Biro, is bright and mostly clean throughout but with some hairline tears, which have been internally repaired with tape. It has not been price clipped and shows the original 12s. 6d. net price. The boards are free from notable wear, but with a slight lean, and the text blocks are clean throughout. There is one small previous inscription to the front flyleaf. This is a very good (or better) copy.
Contains many of the typical elements of a hearty and adventurous Shute yarn such as flying, the future, mystic states, and ordinary people doing extraordinary things.
(We don't keep all of our stock in the shop, so send us an email if you're planning a trip to see a particular author or book.)
