£65.00

First edition, first printing. Published by Peter Owen in London, 1960. This is a near fine copy. The dust wrapper, plainly designed by Paul Oliver, is generally clean but with a stain to the front panel and spine. There is rubbing to the right handside of the front panel, and light crumpling to the top of the spine. It has been clumsily price clipped. The brown cloth boards are without notable chips and marks aside from the aforementioned crumpling to the top. The text blocks are white and generally clean but with slight toning present. There is a small previous owners inscription on the front end paper. Overall, this is a very good copy of a nice title.

A discussion of Emily Brontë, the “most outstanding” of the sisters.
