Martin Handford – Where’s Wally? – First Edition 1987

First edition, first printing of Where’s Wally? by Martin Handford, published by Walker Books, London in 1987. A near fine copy free from inscriptions, some light bumping to spine tips, fading to spine, bumping to upper corners of front and rear boards.

Martin Handford’s Where’s Wally? is a playful picture book that challenges readers to find the distinctive red-and-white-striped Wally hidden within enormous, intricately illustrated scenes. Each crowded spread is packed with hundreds of characters, visual jokes and tiny details, turning every page into a puzzle. First published in 1987, the book became an international phenomenon, celebrated for its humour, originality and remarkable artwork, and launched a hugely successful series of searching adventures.
