A very good book with some fading to the boards in places, SIGNED by the illustrator Garth Williams (famed for his illustrations for the E B White books), ‘To Bobby/Happy Birthday 1960/don’t stay in the Black Castle ever! /With best wishes/Garth Williams/Aspen/’. In a good wrapper with some loss to the head and tail of the spine and the corners. Amongst Williams’ best work, only surpassed by Stuart Little and Charlotte’s Web.
