First edition, first printing. Published by Chatto & Windus in London, 1965. This is a very good copy. Beautifully designed by P. Youngman Carter, the dust wrapper is bright on both panels but with foxing to the rear. There is an assortment of closed tears to the top edge, with the spine tips also worn and chipped. It has not been price clipped, showing the original 21s net price. The boards are sharp in the publisher’s black cloth with gilt titling on the back strip. The text blocks are foxed throughout, though white where not. There is one small previous owner’s inscription to the front paste down in blue ink. Overall, this is a very good copy.

The eighteenth novel in the Albert Campion series.
