Description
A first UK edition of ‘The Hearing Trumpet’ published by Routledge & Kegan Paul, London and Henley, in 1977. A near fine book in the original green boards, in a near fine pictorial dust wrapper. Illustrated by Pablo Weisz-Carrington.
Carrington’s celebrated surrealist novel follows ninety-two-year-old Marian Leatherby, whose new hearing trumpet reveals her family’s plans to place her in an institution. What follows is an extraordinary adventure involving occult mysteries, rebellion and the transformation of the world. A scarce and sought-after first UK edition.
