First edition, first printing. Published by Herbert Jenkins in London, 1950. This is a very good copy. The dust wrapper is nicely illustrated with a photograph of Matthews on the field. It has not been price clipped. The spine is faded, the rear panel is with mild handling marks, and there is slight rubbing throughout the edges. The boards are in the original publishers green cloth with the title embossed in black to the front panel; there are no notable chips or marks. The text blocks are slightly toned due to poor paper stock and the internals are clean and free from previous owners marks. Overall, this is a very good copy.
