The dust wrapper is nicely illustrated and with very minimal wear, with only slight rubbing at the corners. It has not been price clipped and shows the original £8.50 net price. the boards are free from chips and marks and the text blocks are bright and clean throughout, with some very slight foxing to the top edge.
Set in Britain in early 1944 it tells the story of the 220th Fighter Group of the US Eighth Air Force in the lead up to the Allied invasion of Europe. The Group is based at a fictional airfield in Norfolk named Steeple Thaxted.
