Kingsley Amis – Girl, 20 – First Edition 1971
£75.00
First edition, first printing. Published by Jonathan Cape in London, 1971. This is a very good copy. The dust wrapper, finely illustrated and designed by Bill Botten, has some mild wear to the top and tail edges. The corners are also slightly worn and it has not been price clipped. The boards are free from notable wear and the text blocks are bright and white. This copy is free from previous owners ink and is in very good condition.
The novel’s anti-hero is Sir Roy Vandervane, a late middle-aged orchestral conductor and composer. He is a committed philanderer who also has pretensions to be at the vanguard of 1960s counter-culture.
