Full numberline 1-9 the same format as the Macmillan first edition, but bound in original green cloth, lettering to spine in gilt, illustration to front cover in silver surrounding mounted colour illustration, vignette to rear cover in gilt, illustrated endpapers. Housed in the original pictorial slipcase. Colour illustrations throughout by Axel Scheffler. Extremities of slipcase slightly rubbed with a little lifting. ‘The Gruffalo’s Child’: A very good book with some lifting of the laminate to the front board vignette. In very good slip case. Similarly, signed, located and dated in ‘The Gruffalo’s Child’ with an illustration of ‘The Gruffalo’s Child’. Scarce with these signed attributes.
