First edition, third printing published by Bloomsbury, London, in 1999. This is a very good to near fine copy. The original pictorial dust wrapper, illustrated by Cliff Wright, is bright and attractive with only light handling and minor creasing to the extremities – crease to the rear flap. The pictorial boards beneath are similarly well preserved. Internally, the pages are clean and bright. The copyright page carries the number line 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3, confirming the third printing.
Signed boldly by J. K. Rowling in black ink across the title page, an unusually large and attractive example of her early signature.
A particularly appealing signed early printing of the third Harry Potter novel, published during the period in which the series was rapidly becoming an international publishing phenomenon.
