A first edition, first printing of Black and Blue by Ian Rankin, published by Orion in 1997. A very good book inscribed by the author in blue ink on the title page, with slight pushing to head and foot of the spine, light general wear to front board and spine, some further marking to the rear panel and bumping to the lower edge, with minor browning to the text block. In a near fine unclipped wrapper with some wear to the corners and wear to the spine tips.
Black and Blue by Ian Rankin is a gripping crime novel featuring Detective Inspector John Rebus. Set in Edinburgh, the story revolves around Rebus’ investigation into a series of murders mimicking the infamous Scottish serial killer, “Bible John.” As Rebus delves deeper, he faces professional and personal challenges, corruption and dark secrets. Rankin’s masterful writing and intricate plotting make this a compelling read, showcasing the gritty reality of crime and justice.
