A first edition, first printing published by Cape in 1965. A fine book in near fine crisp wrapper. Some spotting to the spine edge of the dust wrapper and one neat closed tear to the head of the spine which is not faded. A lovely copy.
The story is filled with action, including a thrilling ski chase and a dramatic assault on Blofeld’s fortress. “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service” is notable for its character development, a departure from some of the earlier Bond novels, and it concludes with a tragic and unexpected twist that leaves Bond forever changed.
