First edition, first printing. Published by Hollis & Carter in London, 1954. This is a very good (or better) copy. The dust wrapper, illustrated by B. B. (D. J. Watkins-Pitchford), is mostly bright throughout. The spine is slightly toned in the whiter areas and there are some slight stains present. The top and tail edges are slightly bumped, as are the corners. It has not been price clipped and shows the original 15s net price. The boards are smart in the publisher’s green cloth, free from notable chips and marks. The text blocks are foxed to all edges. Overall, this is a very good copy
