A first edition, limited edition of 2000 copies – this being number 650. A near fine book with two small ink spots to the front endpapers. Signed and inscribed by Pinter to the front endpaper, /The Caretaker/The Mermaid/March 1972/To Leonard/With admiration and thanks/Harold/. Rossiter, known from numerous classic 1970 television productions, including ‘Rising Damp’, starred in Pinter’s ‘The Caretaker’ in 1972. A lovely association.
