H.E. Bates – A Moment In Time – First Edition 1964
£65.00
First edition, first printing. Published by Michael Joseph in London, 1964. This is a very near fine copy in exemplary condition. The dust wrapper is beautifully illustrated by Richard Barton and has some very minimal wear at the spine tips. It is bright and truly beautifully illustrated. It has been not price clipped. The boards, in the publishers blue cloth, are without wear to note. The text blocks have some very sparse spots of foxing, though are bright and mostly clean throughout. This copy is free from previous owners ink and is in very near fine condition overall.
The author based the setting for most of the story on Shopswyke House, a Georgian mansion in Tangmere, West Sussex to which Bates himself was assigned.
