Evelyn Waugh – Officers and Gentlemen – First Edition 1955
£115.00
First edition, first printing. Published by Chapman & Hall in London, 1955. This is a very good copy. The dust wrapper, designed by Biro, is moderately worn at the spine tips and corners. There is a sizeable area of separation at the top of the spine. Both panels are clean and free from foxing or additional notable wear. It has not been price clipped, showing the 12s. 6d. net price. The boards are bright in the original publisher’s buckram, with gilt titling at the spine. The text blocks are marked at the edge, otherwise free from wear. This copy is free from previous owner’s ink and is, overall, in very good condition.
The second novel in the ‘Sword of Honor’ trilogy.
