£275.00

A first edition, first printing published by Cape in 1964. A near fine book without inscriptions, in a very good unclipped wrapper with a little rubbing to the corners and edges and two small stains to the bottom of the front panel. Some chipping to the top of the spine and a little nicking to the edges. Rare and in lovely condition.

Hemingway reflects on his interactions with other literary figures of the time, including F. Scott Fitzgerald, Gertrude Stein, and Ezra Pound. The memoir captures the atmosphere of post-World War I Paris, portraying the cafes, streets, and the challenges and joys of a writer’s life. Written with Hemingway’s characteristic spare and elegant prose, “A Moveable Feast” is celebrated for its insights into the creative process and its depiction of the Lost Generation.
