Description
A first edition, first printing ‘Mossy Trotter’ published by Chatto and Windus in 1967. A very good book with one neat name to the front endpaper. Some spotting to the page edges. In a very good unclipped wrapper with a small owner’s label to the front flap. Thin sliver of loss to the top edge and a little chipping to the spine tips and corners. Some light tape burns to the rear panel.
Elizabeth Taylor’s only children’s book, blending humour and warmth with everyday childhood adventures. The story follows lively, imaginative Mossy Trotter, a young boy navigating family life, friendships, and the mischiefs of growing up. With wit and empathy, Taylor captures a child’s perspective on ordinary yet meaningful experiences. Illustrated with charm, the book reflects her keen eye for character and detail, making it a timeless, tender exploration of childhood’s joys and challenges.
