A first edition, first printing published by Cambridge University Press in 1942. A near fine copy with slight chipping to head of the soft cover spine. Binding to the front cover is a little loose. One neat name and date on the front free end paper.
From 1858, the Rede lecture was re-established as a one-off annual lecture, delivered by a person appointed by the Vice-Chancellor of Cambridge University. This pamphlet, with a few additions, is the text from Forster’s 1942 lecture about the life and work of Virginia Woolf.
