A pair of Morris’ zoologist study of the human animal. Both first edition, first printings, The Naked Ape in 1967, with a previous owner’s inscription and date in blue ink on the front free end paper. The Human Zoo published in 1969 with a previous owner’s inscription obscured with correction fluid on the front free end paper. Both with top stain to the bright and crisp text blocks. Both volumes are very good books in very good wrappers, The Human Zoo price clipped with a minor tear to the rear flap top knuckle and some pushing to the upper and lower edges, The Naked Ape is unclipped.

The Naked Ape and The Human Zoo provide fascinating insights into human behaviour and society. Morris, a zoologist, applies evolutionary principles to understand human actions, revealing how our animal instincts shape our interactions and cultures. The Naked Ape delves into topics such as sex, aggression, and social hierarchies, while The Human Zoo examines how modern environments impact our primal instincts. Both books challenge conventional perspectives, offering a thought-provoking exploration of humanity’s place in the natural world.
