Consisting: a final draft typed manuscript of the story (in original orange box which has seen better days and is certainly broken) with a letter from the publisher James M. White from Cosmopolitan magazine, stating (amongst other things…”after reading it I was very glad that it has not been my role in like to become an object of Miss du Maurier’s scorn. I am sure you feel the same way.” Included is a note from the previous collector who has photocopied the story in its entirety and has annotated the differences between the published edition and the transcript. Accompanied by a jacketed uncorrected proof of the book along with a SIGNED and DATED on the title page by Du Maurier. A superb collection.
